Manchester City have been crowned English FA Cup winners following a 2-1 win over Manchester United in the final at Wembley Stadium.
Man City triumphed in the first all-Manchester FA Cup final on Saturday, thanks to a goal in each half from Ilkay Gundogan.
Bruno Fernandes, however, scored a solitary goal for United.
Chasing a treble of trophies like their cross-town neighbours did in 1999, Man City had Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne, and Gundogan, their key players, on from the start, while United lined up with its best possible XI.
It was City who took the lead 13 seconds into the encounter, with Gundogan blasting a volley into the top corner from Haaland’s knockdown header.
Man United were undeterred and got their equaliser when the video assistant referee (VAR) awarded them a penalty for Jack Grealish’s handball, and Fernandes dispatched to restore parity going into the break.

Gundogan scored the winner early in the second half, burying a shot through a sea of bodies from De Bruyne’s free-kick delivery to send the Blue half of Wembley agog.
Erik ten Hag’s Man United tried in vain to level matters but Man City stood resolutely until the end to secure the victory.
The FA Cup win is Man City’s seventh title and completes their domestic double following the earlier English Premier League (EPL) title win.
It is the second FA Cup win under coach Pep Guardiola who scored his 13th title since arriving at the club.
The Cityzens can score a treble of trophies, for the first time in their history and the second time for an English team after Man United, if they triumph in their UEFA Champions League final next weekend.
