The Punch reports that commuters are now cutting down on interstate travel owing to the hike in the price of petrol. The newspaper says Godswill Akpabio, the senate president, will likely unveil the names of ministerial nominees at plenary this week.

The Guardian reports that Taoreed Abiodun, chief of army staff, has launched a special operation to tackle the violent attacks in Mangu LGA of Plateau and other parts of the state.
