Reports on the primaries of two major political parties in Nigeria — Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) — dominated the front pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch says aggrieved APC governorship aspirants have alleged that governors have hijacked the delegate lists of the party. The newspaper reports that former President Goodluck Jonathan has met with Mamman Daura, nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, amid his rumoured presidential ambition.
