Controversy over the national convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) earlier scheduled for February appeared on the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Nation reports that APC governors have resolved to seek the help of Buhari on the crisis threatening the party’s convention. The newspaper says David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi, has joined the race for the 2023 presidency.

Daily Independent reports that the declaration of Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos, for the 2023 presidency will not deter Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo from contesting.
