The comments of Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on the state of the economy and Muslim-Muslim ticket dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that Atiku, PDP presidential candidate, and his running mate have criticised the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket. The newspaper says the senate will begin a probe of oil theft in the Niger Delta.
