The comment of Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state, that the All Progressives Congress (APC) must zone its 2023 presidential ticket to the south dominated the cover pages.

The Punch reports that Akeredolu has warned that abandoning rotational presidency ahead of the 2023 election will lead to a crisis. The newspaper says power firms have accumulated a debt of N861.14 billion as of December 2021 from commercial banks.
