Reports on the last-minute activities of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch says Buhari has presided over the last meeting of the federal executive council (FEC). The newspaper reports that state governors have started to dissolve their cabinets ahead of the May 29 inauguration.

Daily Trust reports that Buhari has sought the approval of the senate for the payment of N539 judgement debt. The newspaper says Festus Keyamo, minister of state, said the portfolio of minister of state is unconstitutional.

The newspaper reports that Godwin Emefiele said inflation would have reached 30.48 percent in April if not for the monetary tightening regime of the CBN.
