The rejection of the results of the February 25 presidential election by leading opposition political parties dominated the cover pages of Nigerian newspapers.

The Punch reports that Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Peter Obi, have refused to concede defeat in the February 25 election, vowing to recover their mandate in court. The newspaper says Ayodele Fayose, former governor of Ekiti, has dumped the PDP.

The Nation reports that the supreme court will deliver judgement today on the controversy trailing the naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The newspaper says the APC reconciliation committee is expected to meet Atiku, Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) over the outcome of the presidential election.

Daily Trust reports that Atiku and Obi have rejected the outcome of the presidential election. The newspaper says President Muhammadu Buhari has commissioned a 32 megawatts power plant in Maiduguri, Borno state.

The Guardian reports that the World Health Organisation (WHO) said over 1.5 billion people live with hearing problems globally. The newspaper says the Lagos State chapter of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) have expressed their desire to vote for Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor, in the March 11 governorship election in the state.

THISDAY reports Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and Sokoto states have dragged the federal government before the supreme court over the conduct, collation and announcement of the February 25 presidential and national assembly election. The newspaper says The Financial Times of London has said the February 25 elections were badly flawed.
