The Punch reports that the national assembly election tribunals in several states will deliver judgments in at least 400 petitions this week. The newspaper says the federal government has invited foreign airlines to a meeting on Monday, amid the lingering travel chaos at the Lagos international airport.

The Nation reports that President Bola Tinubu has secured major investment commitments and economic cooperation from three of the world’s largest economies. The newspaper says the federal government has launched probes into recent sales of major banks in the country.

Daily Independent reports that Nigeria’s economic rebirth may be impeded by the country’s debt profile and rising inflation. The newspaper says 36 states of the federation received N1.5 trillion allocation in six months.

The Guardian reports that poor consumer spending and low consumption are currently reducing the chances of survival and shrinking the profit margin of companies in the fast-moving consumer goods sector. The newspaper says the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has insisted that workers need a living wage not palliatives.
